Abstract

Based on the analysis of the evolution of the construction sector in Turkey after World War II and the international expansion of Turkish construction companies since the 1970s, the aim of this article is to identify the key factors behind the success of Turkish entities in foreign markets and to formulate recommendations for Polish companies regarding effective strategies for international expansion. The article represents the first attempt in the literature to relate Turkish achievements to the specifics of the Polish construction market. The article discusses the motivations for the internationalization of construction companies, presents the history of the development of the construction sector in Turkey, analyzes the factors contributing to the success of Turkish firms in foreign markets, and formulates conclusions that could serve as guidelines for Polish construction companies based on Turkish experiences.
