Abstract

The authors try to construct a rather general analytical and conceptual framework that might be useful for considerations focused in rural development. Its frame has been characterised by three various theoretical perspectives (the triangle), namely: theory of social scenes, social networks approach as well as theories of social movements. The first one might be used as a tool to conceptualise of parts of social space (places) that might be recognised as fields of various social practices including not only consumption activities but economic and political performances as well. In turn, social network approach focused mainly on the issue of governance might be used as a tool for description and explanation of the nature and character of relations among social actors playing in particular social scenes and participating in the processes of rural development. Finally, the social movement perspective has been projected for the analysis of particular actors, especially the dynamics of their structuration and actions.
