“Identity-strong” and “Rooted” – the Electorate of Law and Justice

The article presents reports from representative research on profiling the electorates of Polish political parties. The subject of the analysis in this case is the electorate of Law and Justice, which in the assessment of key socio-political issues is clearly different from the electorates of other relevant political groups. The text juxtaposes the results of the polls with concepts referring to the so-called „strong” and „weak” identity programs and to the proposals of David Goodhart, who proposed the division of voters into „Somewheres” and „Anywheres”. The aim of the analysis is to try to characterize the voters of Law and Justice and to place this electorate in selected (classical) models of socio-political divisions.
