Adult Body Height

In the longitudinal study of group of 221 boys it has been found that only 54% of them have reached adult body height in the 19th year of age. The average increments in body height between 18 and 27 year of age was 2.13 cm. In one subject it was even as great as 7 cm. The height increment was closely related. to the subjects maturity, measured by skeletal age and age at peak height velocity. The later maturation of boys the bigger the increments in the height of postadolescence period.
