Insicura supraorbitalis and foramen supraorbitale in the human cranials (sex demorphism)

On female and male cranial series, the author traced the path shape of the supereyorbitrial (superorbitralis) blood vessels and nerves versus sex. It is found that typical for female cranials is a quite smooth border or a border with weakly marked incision (incisura). Moreover the female cranials compared to male ones show a stronger occurrence of incision (incisura) limited on both sides by osseous process (processus ossis) and foramen. The characteristic mark of the masculine sex is a distinctive incision (incisura) which is often limited from the outside by osseous process (processus ossis).
These results may be helpful in analysis of osteous materials from crematory burials.
