Ślinotok w mózgowym porażeniu dziecięcym: ujęcie kliniczne, społeczne i terapeutyczne

Abstrakt

Ślinotok jest częstym objawem występującym u dzieci z mózgowym porażeniem dziecięcym (MPD). Może prowadzić do powikłań medycznych, trudności w funkcjonowaniu społecznym i emocjonalnym oraz obniżenia jakości życia dziecka i jego opiekunów. Niniejszy artykuł ma charakter przeglądowy i przedstawia aktualny stan wiedzy na temat przyczyn, konsekwencji oraz możliwości leczenia ślinotoku u dzieci z MPD, ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem terapii logopedycznej jako kluczowego elementu niefarmakologicznego postępowania. Omówiono także dostępne interwencje farmakologiczne i chirurgiczne oraz podkreślono znaczenie indywidualizacji działań i współpracy interdyscyplinarnej. Z uwagi na ograniczoną liczbę opracowań podejmujących tę tematykę w polskim piśmiennictwie pedagogicznym i logopedycznym niniejszy artykuł może stanowić podstawę do dalszych badań i pogłębionej refleksji nad skutecznym wsparciem dzieci z MPD i objawem nadmiernego ślinienia.
