About the roles and the characteristic features of a good Polish language teacher – based on students’ opinions

The purpose of this article is to present, what are, according to the Polish language learners at A1-A2 level in Poland, the roles and the characteristics features of Polish language teacher. The opinions of 55 students from 9 countries were collected during the lessons or by e-mail. On the basis of the collected material, there has been created a Decalogue for lecturers working mainly with the students who starting to learn Polish as a foreign language (but also useful and effective for language teaching at higher levels).
