Publication Fees
Payment Policy
1. The fee for an article accepted for publication is 330 PLN + VAT (23%).
2. The payment must be made within the deadline indicated on the invoice.
3. Billing details required for the invoice must be provided during the article registration process.
4. The publication fee is charged only for articles accepted for publication.
5. The journal does not charge any submission or peer-review fees (submission fee).
6. The invoice for the publication fee is issued only after the peer-review process has been completed and the article has been formally accepted for publication by the Editorial Board.
7. The invoice is issued once the author has been notified of the acceptance of the manuscript and has provided the necessary billing information.
8. Editorial decisions regarding the acceptance or rejection of a manuscript are based solely on its scholarly merit and the results of the peer-review process; they remain entirely independent of financial matters.
9. The publication fee is a flat rate per article, regardless of its length. The journal does not charge fees based on the number of pages, characters, or publishing sheets.
Fee Waivers
The journal offers the possibility of a partial or full waiver of the publication fee.
1. Waivers may be granted to authors in financial hardship, particularly those from low-income or lower-middle-income countries, as well as in justified cases for manuscripts of exceptionally high scientific value.
2. Authors requesting a waiver must provide supporting documentation at the time of submission, including:
- a statement confirming the lack of external funding (e.g., from grants or institutional funds),
confirmation of the lack of funds from the author's home institution, or
- information regarding the economic status of the country of origin (according to the World Bank classification).
Publication Fee Refund Policy
1. In the event that an author withdraws their article, the following refund rules apply:
- if the article is withdrawn before it is sent for copyediting and typesetting, the publication fee is fully refundable;
- if the article is withdrawn after the copyediting stage has commenced, no refund will be issued.
2. The copyediting stage (copyediting) begins after the peer-review process is finalised and the article is formally accepted for publication. From this point onwards, the continuation of work requires the publication fee to be settled.
3. No refund shall be issued if violations of publication ethics (e.g., plagiarism, undisclosed conflict of interest, duplicate submission) are discovered after the editorial work has begun or after publication, resulting in the rejection or subsequent retraction of the article (retraction).
