Tchapali de vass and Polo Kouman, Polo Parle, Inaugural Works of Ivoironie: Nouchi’s Valorization

Abstract

“Ivoironie” presents itself as the new identity of the Ivorian, respectful of the institutions, of the cultural diversity of his nation by promoting the food, the tourist and sports sites as well as the nouchi. Therefore, we say that Josué Guébo and Henri-Michel Yéré are part of the social identification movement, and their respective works, Tchapali de vass and Polo kouman, Polo parle are a project aimed at putting into practice a style or poetic aesthetic and establishing of an identity, characterized by “Ivoironie” – a concept proposed by Toh Bi Tié Emmanuel. The epistemic study of these two works allows us to say that Josué Guébo and Henri-Michel Yéré establish the nouchi as a poetic language. In so doing, their respective works inaugurate a new era of Ivorian poetry while being in line with Toh Bi Tié Emmanuel’s vision of his concept of “Ivoironie”, since each of the works highlights an element of identity of the Ivorian population: nouchi.
