Abstract

The article presents the results of a nationwide survey concerning the opinions and experiences of ethics teachers related to the teaching of this subject in schools in Poland. Particular attention is devoted to the assessment of organizational solutions adopted to conduct ethics lessons in schools and the assessment of textbooks and educational materials for teaching ethics. The survey was based on diagnostic poll method. The research tool was a standardized questionnaire titled “Teaching ethics in school”. The questionnaire was addressed to ethics teachers in all Polish schools in which this subject is taught. The analysis of the obtained data and conclusions from the research contribute to expanding pedagogical knowledge about teaching ethics in schools in Poland and its place in the education system. The research pays attention to the challenges faced by schools, so that ethics as a subject of teaching be carried out at the highest level.
