Abstract

The subject of the research was the situation of Informatology with business English on the labor market. In the literature on the subject, there is a gap in the research on the fate of graduates of studies related to information science. This state of affairs is partially justified by the fact that the studied field at the level of master's studies has only been offered by the University of Łódź since 2018. The aim was to get to know and describe the real fate of people after completing the educational path and entering the labor market. The diagnostic survey method was used to answer the questions.

A total of thirteen respondents took part in this questionnaire. Based on the surveys, it was determined what the situation of graduates in the labor market looks like in terms of employment and remuneration for work. In addition, issues related to the professional activity of the respondents were determined: their satisfaction with the current workplace, also in terms of earnings, but also plans for the future in the context of its possible change, and their reflections on competences related to the labor market and the process of supplementing the acquired education (knowledge and skills), factors motivating to take up work, and occupational groups in which they found employment were also identified.
