Abstract

The article presents a translation and analysis of some selected parts of a document created by the Federal Bureau of Investigation detailing the history of the growth of the Mafia in the United States. It aims to present a perspective of federal agents and to compare it with the sources that are available to us today.

  • Bartosz Kaczmarek, University of Wroclaw

    Mgr Bartosz Kaczmarek – absolwent Wydziału Nauk Historycznych i Pedagogicznych Uniwersytetu Wrocławskiego, specjalności amerykanistyka oraz archiwistyka. Obecnie doktorant w Kolegium Historii Szkoły Doktorskiej Uniwersytetu Wrocławskiego.

    Zainteresowania badawcze: historia przestępczości zorganizowanej (zwłaszcza zaś mafii włoskiej i amerykańskiej) oraz obraz Wielkiej Wojny w listach żołnierzy jej uczestników.
