Traditional African textiles and their contemporary symbolic uses in art

Abstract

Traditional African fabrics occupy a very important place in the contemporary art of young artists of African origin. They are treated as a symbol of returning to a lost identity. The article aims to introduce the figures of several young artists, thanks to whom we can understand their need to return to their roots and see their attempts to identify with their own culture of African regions.
