“Inky fight for Pan Tadeusz' Polemics concerning Jan Nepomucen Miller’s speeches

The article introduces the history of polemics which was set from 1924 to 1936. The polemics concerned Jan Nepomucen Miller’s speeches about Pan Tadeusz. This critic thought that in new political conditions that Poland was found after regaining independence the work should be looked from different perspective.
Miller wanted to achive redefinition of the poem in a spirit of universalism ideology which he propagated. Miller’s speeches were the basis of discussions about artistic and ideological values of Pan Tadeusz. This discussion was one of the most interesting and took the important place in researches on Pan Tadeusz.
