Multicultural Shakespeare: Translation, Appropriation and Performance 

vol. 35 no. 49 (2027) non-thematic volume call for papers

Authors are invited to submit articles and reviews for publication in the non-thematic volume,  in the summer 2027 issue of Multicultural Shakespeare.

We invite papers (6000-6500 words) that explore the problems of translating, staging, adapting, reading and teaching Shakespeare worldwide. We welcome contributions in various areas of Shakespeare studies, including reflection and analysis of book, theatre and digital renditions of Shakespeare texts and their creative re-writings. 

Deadline for article submissions: 30 September 2026

Final deadline for interviews and reviews: 30 October 2026

Theatre and book reviews should be sent to the Theatre and Book Reviewers directly.
