Abstract

Seen as a socio-historical phenomenon of forced displacement, exile is one of the clearest examples of the failure of any attempt at convivialism. Accordingly, the texts written in exile show certain recurring themes and emotional scripts that can be linked to the concepts of convivialism and hybris – a thesis that in this article is verified through a close analysis of stories by two paradigmatic writers of German and Spanish exiles, ANNA SEGHERS and LUISA CARNÉS.

Alejandro Isidro Gómez, Universität des Baskenlandes

M.A., Studium der Übersetzung und Dolmetschen an der Universität Salamanca. Master- Abschluss in Lehrausbildung (UNED, 2022) sowie in Vergleichender Literatur und Literaturwissenschaft an der Universität des Baskenlandes (2022). Seit 2022 wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter mit einem 4-jährigen Promovierungsvertrag an der Universität des Baskenlandes. Promotionsthema: Literatur des Exils (Deutschland, Spanien, Kolumbien). In der Forschungsgruppe La literatura como documento histórico: historia, ideología y texto (IDEOLIT) tätig. Forschungsschwerpunkte: Ideologie, Emotionalität und Geschichtlichkeit des literarischen Textes, der als kulturelles und historisches Produkt verstanden wird. Weitere Schwerpunkte: spanische, iberoamerikanische und deutsche Literatur des 20. und 21. Jahrhunderts; Emotionalität in der Literatur: Psychonarratologie und Emotional Turn in der Literaturwissenschaft; Beziehungen zwischen Literatur, Natur und ländlicher Umwelt.
